1. Armor Compensation - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
Edited by: Raith Seinar on 07/02/2007 23:35:55 Originally by: Marine HK4861 Well for starters, do you have an EM hardener fitted? The skill boosts the effectiveness of the module, not the overall resist so if you have a Energised...

2. Armor Compensation - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
Apologies for digging out an old topic, but I don't like starting new threads unnecessarily Is there something bugged with these skills at the moment? I'm only a casual player so I never even knew they existed until 2 days ago, even though I ha...

3. logic of new The Blockade missions - in Missions & Complexes [original thread]
I've tried lvl2 and lvl3 versions of this mission, and can safely say that both are much harder than their normal "brethren" :) While we're on this subject, what's the key to getting this mission done with a beam laser boat? I use a proph with 4 ...

4. Remove Wrecks from NPCs - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Edited by: Raith Seinar on 02/12/2006 13:03:52 As someone who only has time to run maybe a mission a night, I agree. Currently I end up with between 10 and 40 (depending on the L2 mission) wrecks around the screen. Massive FPS drop and 95% of ...

5. Ideas for Salvage changes here, please - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Regarding the lack of loot dropping from wrecks; I've noticed that quite often it's simply lag, and if you leave the wreck container window open for 20-30 seconds, the items magically appear. Still way too many wrecks with zero loot in them thoug...

6. Statistics for the Chinese Server Mining - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Edited by: Raith Seinar on 15/11/2006 22:42:15 I know it's juvenile, but I still giggle at mistranslations like "Rock-Abdominal Constantly" and "Ore With Spaces" :)

7. complex farmers is anythign ever going to be done? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Blame the system, not the players. If you found an easy way to make cash by killing NPCs, then why not milk it a bit? Try asking this guy if you can have one of the spawns to get the key, more often than not he'll say yes.

11. Why is EVE so one sided? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Some interesting points here. I am of the opinion, admittedly without much experience, that bounty hunting is a much less attractive proposition than piracy. Look at it from a practical point of view. A pirate is able to commit piracy in low sec...

12. Eve Judicial System - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Originally by: Lord Frost These trust issues have gone too far. There needs to be a system where they will be held accountable for theft, whether its in game or out of game. I dont care. Suspend their accounts, ban their accounts, lower ...

13. Learning Skills - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Edited by: Raith Seinar on 04/10/2006 14:43:55 Everything in EVE is based upon pure mathematics, and so the value judgement in deciding on a skill is easily planned. For example, let's say that learning a level 5 stat skill will reduce your t...

16. Eve vs Real life, a case for carebear and piracy. - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
As with any perceived "crime", IRL or IG, intent is a major factor on the raction of the society around it. A man who steals a loaf of bread to feed his family is less vilified than the man who steals an iPod just because his friends all have one....

17. Lets be honest..... - in Crime and Punishment [original thread]
1. EVE is a game; games are fun! I don't worry about the costs of piracy too much as I can logout and all the "pain" goes away 2. I do however believe that the risk/reward to piracy needs tweaking. As it stands, a pirate is good at PVP inherent...

18. Hellmar, Oveur, do you see the EVE principles spreading to other MMOs? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
EVE is ceratinly the exception to the rule; forced PVP, entirely player driven social politics, player controllable assets...very few other successful MMO's have these. I used to think that allowing the players to have an influence on a persistan...

19. Fairness: Crime vs Punishment in 1.0 Security Systems. - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
The very moment you jetcan, the ore is no longer "yours"... The fact that you get flagged for taking items which you have thrown away is daft IMHO. Complaining about any aspect of jetcanning, either the crime or the response, is a waste of time.

20. Disconnection" a "Friend or Foe"? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I know that general gameplay rules are a big turnoff, but the one "rule to end all rules" in EVE is to never risk an item that you can't afford to lose. I have a ton of implants sat in my hangar because I don't want to lose them just yet; I can't...
